I've gotten involved with a face-to-face Tolkien-style roleplaying group.  We hashed out our character concepts and played a game of Munchkin at our previous gathering.

 

I met the GM at a Tolkien discussion held at the local library.  He happens to be fond of classic games like RoleMaster, Paranoia, and CAR WARS... and still has a bit of Battletech stuff in his closet.  It was pretty neat to meet a kindred spirit like that.

Hopefully the dearth in face-to-face games I've experienced this past while is coming to an end....
